SUMMARY:'Fool Expression' Workshop
DESCRIPTION:‘Fool Expression’ Evening Workshop\nWith Christie Animas \n  \n✨Are you curious about the different aspects in you? \n✨Do you feel the call for more expression in your life? \n✨Would you like to navigate more playfully within yourself? \n  \nFool Expression is calling us as humans to learn to access all the masks or parts in ourselves. Some known\, some not known yet. This way we connect to more aliveness\, creativity\, inner peace\, connection with others and with ourselves \nIt is a deeply transformative and embodied process allowing us to dive deeper into ourselves through somatic practices and through a safe connection with others. In this benevolent container\, our human nature is called to open\, express and bring transformation. \nIn this practice the Fool archetype is the part in us that can journey from one aspect of ourselves to another\, embodying and exploring authentically each of them fully. It is not at all about being funny or foolish\, although this could also happen. But it is about being open\, curious and willing to explore known and unknown parts of our psyche. It is about receiving the vast amount of life force available in each part in us and it is also about feeling safe and free within. \nThe Fool archetype honours\, embodies and expresses authentically the uniqueness of each aspect in us and then effortlessly steps out of them. Thus offering space to whatever else that is ready to be explored and expressed in us. The Fool archetype feels also at home in the ‘empty space’\, in the the rich unknown within us. They navigate freely these spaces where anything can effortlessly emerge and then be explored… \nThis practice excitingly allows also for the different parts of us to interact together and so reveal more of themselves as well as the dynamic between them that are usually a mirror of what is happening is our lives.  As participants we ‘play’ this way to find more about ourselves and we realise soon also that our exploration is serving other participants’s personal journeys in a meaningful way. In a similar way\, other participant’s play offers us a huge source of insights and transformation for ourselves.  We realise how the authentic expression of parts and patterns in us forges a deep sense of trust\, learning\, understanding\, connection and belonging in the group. \nFool Expression brings conscious gathering and the magic of theatre back into the centre of the community. A place to explore\, feel connected\, and most important to just be who we are. It allows us to experience in an embodied way the mystery that links us all together as humans and the potency of transformation we can create together. \nThis work comes from the lineage of the Fool’s work of Franki Anderson. It is also based on the Voice Dialogue Model of Consciousness and the Psychology of Selves and is Trauma Informed. It involves aspects of focusing\, authentic movement\, shadow work\, Internal Family System\, parts work and theatre. \n  \nWHO IS THIS WORKSHOP FOR? You might be: \n– interested in personal development and spirituality\, you want to experience an embodied and fun way to touch the mystery inside of yourself and come out of restrictive patterns\n– a therapist and you want to explore new embodied approach to feed your practice\n– an artist and you want to enhance your creative expression and find new resources to express yourself from\n– you are a parent and you want to have space for the different experiences in you and find new ways to be playful with your child(ren)\n– an activist and you want to learn to harness the energy of all the aspects in you to enhance your action with energy and resilience\n– you are a seeker\, maybe in a transition time\, and want to find out more about yourself and what is wanting to come next in your life \n  \nPlease bring loose clothes\, a blanket to lie on and a notepad. \n  \nFriday 5th September \n7.15pm – 9.45pm \n  \nCost \n£15 – £35 \nAvailable to book here: www.christieanimas.com/fe-taster-glasto-5th-septe-25/ \n  \nFor more info \nContact contact@christieanimas.com \n

SUMMARY:Common Salt - CANCELLED
DESCRIPTION:Common Salt\nBy Sheila Ghelani and Sue Palmer \nCANCELLED\n  \nDue to the Coronavirus outbreak\, Common Salt has been cancelled. \nThe event organisers will be in touch with all ticket holders to arrange refunds. \nWe sincerely apologise for any disappointment caused\, and thank you for your understanding. \n  \n————————- \n  \nCommon Salt is a performance around a table – a ‘show and tell’. It explores the colonial\, geographical history of England and India taking an expansive and emotional time-travel\, from the first Enclosure Act and the start of the East India Company in the 1600s\, to 21st century narratives of trade\, nature and culture. \nSue and Sheila activate insights into our shared past\, laying out a ‘home museum’ of objects and stories; of the Great Hedge of India\, of borders\, and collections – all accompanied by original Shruti box laments. \nCommon Salt is a reckoning; the interconnectedness between history\, empire\, nature and memory is hidden in plain sight. \n  \nThursday 26th March \n8pm – 9.30pm \nThe performance starts at 8pm and lasts just over an hour. You are welcome to stay and talk to Sue and Sheila after the show. \n  \nTickets \nFull price: £8 \nConcessions: £5 (students\, over 60s and those in receipt of benefits) \nTickets are available to purchase here. \n  \nAudience Feedback \n“Common Salt … was exquisite … A miniature with epic undertones.” \n“Intriguing and mesmerising” \n“Like reading a book in 3D real life” \n  \n  \nSupported using public funds by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.

SUMMARY:Over the wall picking apples
DESCRIPTION:WASSAIL THEATRE COMPANY and RICHARD CROWE proudly present \nOVER THE WALL PICKING APPLES \n Happily married with a lovely house on the Somerset Levels\, Richard could have settled down to life as a withy weaver\, cider maker or llama farmer. But then the fish tank started singing to him –the same song over and over\, day after day. It was enough to drive him mad. \nThis is the story of Richard’s response to all this: his admission into the mental health service\, a diagnosis of bipolar disorder\, medication (the highs…the lows) and making sense of a lifetime lived over the wall picking apples. \nJoin Richard on his emotional roller-coaster as he squares up to the frightening\, the furious and the funny sides of mad. \nIt’s no laughing matter – but it will make you laugh. \nOVER THE WALL PICKING APPLES has been developed with attention to the mental health needs of Richard\, the team and audiences. Our approach to safeguarding audiences with mental health conditions includes: \n\nA post-show discussion after every performance\nSign posting information in the free programme notes\nA trigger warning sheet available before or after booking\nVolunteers from Samaritans present at every show\n\n“a much-needed piece” \n“thought provoking” \n“a great piece of theatre\, a brave and emotional performance\, and a privilege to have shared” \n“brave\, emotional\, moving\, truthful – thank you” \nDoors open at 7.30pm for an 8pm start. Tickets £10 in advance\, £12 on the door \nWritten and performed by Richard Crowe \nDirected by Ged Stephenson \nDesigned by Kasha Miller
