SUMMARY:Alternatives Retreat: The Light Within a Human Heart with Lars Muhl
DESCRIPTION:Alternatives presents: \nThe Light Within a Human Heart\nRetreat with Lars Muhl\n  \nThe mystery tradition of The Essenes \n  \nThursday 22nd August – Sunday 25th August 2019 \n  \nAlternatives are hosting a 4-day retreat in Glastonbury\, with workshops and talks held at the Red Brick Building. \nLeading the retreat will be Danish author\, mystic and lecturer\, Lars Muhl. \n  \nMessage from Lars Muhl: \nThis retreat is based on everything that I have worked with throughout the years: breathing therapy\, prayer\, rituals\, meditation\, intuition\, healing\, chanting\, vocal sound healing\, energy work and Chariot of Fire practice\, with the psychology of the Aramaic language as a resonance bond. \n  \nThe Light Within a Human Heart retreat has the mystery tradition of The Essenes and the Therapists of Alexandria as a role model. These mystery traditions educated the first deacons\, that we know of\, long before the term deacon was known. The Essenes called themselves Children of the Light\, while the Therapists were called the The Ones Dressed in White. \n  \n’The Kingdom of Heaven (Malkoota d’Shmeya) is within you\, and everywhere around you’\, says Yeshua in The Gospel of Luke and in The Gospel of Thomas. This is the completely fundamental and most important point of departure of the workshop that we are able to connect ourselves to The Kingdom of Heaven within. That we through this Kingdom of Heaven understands who we truly are\, where we come from\, what we are doing here and where we are going. This knowledge has to be completely integrated in each of us. This is the prerequisite for everything that we are going to work with on the workshop. Therefore\, this will be the first and continuous practice throughout the whole course. \n  \n‘If you follow my example\, you will be able to perform even greater wonders than I’\, says Yeshua in  The Gospel of Matthew. This statement is the starting point of the workshop.  We wish to make a reality of Yeshua’s words and actions through our own experiences and deeds. That is\, in our relations with other people\, everywhere we go\, and in our healing and energy work. \n  \nDuring the retreat\, Lars will take participants to the Tor and Chalice Well for a group ritual and chanting\, using the water and the land for healing. There will also be a cleansing journey at the Red Springs.  There will be time for personal reflection\, and to explore the wonderful landscape of Glastonbury.  \n  \n  \nPrice \nTuition only: £580 (deposit: £200) \nAccommodation and Tuition Package: from £995 (deposit: from £195) \nAll accomodation\, breakfast\, lunch\, transfers and teachings are included in the accomodation packages. Tuition only package available. Payment plans available. \n  \nFor more info and to book \nVisit www.alternatives.org.uk

SUMMARY:Electrosensitivity - Wessex Research Group
DESCRIPTION:Speaker: Dr Andrew Tresidder \nThis talk aims to look at what ES is\, and to understand symptoms\, sources and solutions. increasing numbers of people are affected by the environmental pollution of Radiofrequency Signals and Electromagnetic fields\, but don’t always make the connection. \nIf ants\, birds and bees are affected\, then why shouldn’t humans be? Some sensitive people are particularly affected. \nElectromagnetic hygiene involves recognising the issue and doing something about it. Industry will help\, when the mistaken presumption of no harm; becomes obvious\, and when the ICNIRP derived safety limits\, which ONLY apply 6 minute tissue heating limits\, and ignore increasing evidence of biological effects. \nDr Andrew Tresidder\, GP and Educator\, aims to cover the main issues and answer questions

SUMMARY:A Slide Show about Malawi - The Warm Heart of Africa
DESCRIPTION:A Slide Show about Malawi – The Warm Heart of Africa – one of the six poorest countries in the World\n\n7.30-9.30pm – The Morland Room – £5 on the door\n\nAfter two visits in the last 3 years\, returning to the home where my siblings and I were born\, I would love to share some of the photographs and videos that I have brought back with me.\nThese visits have led me to create a Permaculture project in the neighbouring village\, Mponda and the nearby Domasi Mission Secondary School\, with the help of the charity Makwawa Malawi.\n\nMalawi is a beautiful\, under-developed country. Most of the population are subsistence farmers and their livelihoods are easily affected by drought\, pests and disease. There is a growing reliance on international aid\, pesticides and fertilisers. The soil is being depleted and the most wonderful natural resource\, Lake Malawi\, a fresh water inland jewel\, twice the size of Ireland and famous for its tropical fish\, is also under threat from possible oil drilling\n\nPlease\, come and join me as I show you around this amazingly resourceful and curious culture\, visiting permaculture projects\, local families\, villages and schools.\n\nFor more information or to make a donation call Jaine Raine on 01458 834787
