DESCRIPTION:Somerset Art Weeks Festival 2024\n‘Landscape: Flux & Flow’\n  \nArt ~ Installations ~ Workshops ~ Gatherings ~ Guided Walks \n  \nSaturday 21st September – Sunday 6th October \nArt exhibition open daily at the Red Brick Building\, 10am – 5pm \nFree to attend \n  \nSomerset Art Weeks returns for 2024! This year is the Somerset Art Weeks Festival\, where collaborative exhibitions and group shows spring up across the region. Artists and makers of every medium\, from painting to performance\, will be joining the Festival to form part of this celebration of our county’s exciting creative voices. \nThe theme of the 2024 Somerset Art Weeks Festival is ‘Landscape: Flux and Flow’. \n  \nAbout this year’s exhibition: \nThis year\, the Red Brick Building has teamed up with Bridie’s Farm in Glastonbury\, as well as local artists\, to offer a collection of art\, installations and workshops held across the Red Brick Building\, Community Garden\, and Bridie’s Farm. \nThere will be an exhibition of paintings and photography within the Red Brick Building and The Old Tannery restaurant\, plus an installation and soundscapes within the Red Brick Building Community Garden. \nOver on Bridie’s Farm there\, will be a Stone Soup gathering and a reconnection workshop on selected days. \nThis year’s featured artists are: Delphi Barney\, Julia Bedford\, John Fleming\, Chloe Forfitt\, and Keelie Hamer \n  \n  \nWHAT’S ON: \n  \nAt the Red Brick Building and The Old Tannery: \n‘Landscape: Flux & Flow’ Exhibition \nA selection of art\, paintings and photography \nDaily\, 10am – 5pm \n  \nIn the Red Brick Building Community Garden: \n‘Sounds of the Moors’ \nSoundscape of interviews with local folk connected with the Beckery\, Bride’s Mound and the Moors \nDaily\, 12pm – 4pm \n  \n‘Sounds of the Moors’ – Interviewing \nCome and be interviewed for our ‘Sounds of the Moors’ installation! \nFriday 27th September & Friday 4th October\, 10am – 11.30am \n  \n‘Moth Survey‘ \nIn partnership with Fred Giles and Bill Urwin of ROAM (Recorders of the Avalon Marshes) \nFriday 27th September from 5.30pm\, and Saturday 28th September from 8am \n  \n‘Time Walk‘ \nA gentle guided walk from the Community Garden via Pomparles Bridge\, along the River Brue\, to Bride’s Mound \nSaturday 5th October\, 10am – 12pm (starting at the Community Garden) \n  \nAt Bridie’s Farm: \n‘Stone Soup‘ \nFood\, Stories & Art\, part of Bridie’s Farm Open Day \nSunday 22nd September\, 11am – 4pm \n  \n‘The Work That Reconnects‘ \nAn introductory day workshop of Joanna Macy’s The Work That Reconnects \nSunday 29th September\, 10am – 4pm \n  \n  \nFor more information about Somerset Art Weeks\, visit: www.somersetartworks.org.uk \n
