DESCRIPTION:Gardening Workshop\nGrow Your Own Vegetable Patch\nHosted by Feed Avalon CIC \n  \nA hands on workshop where you will be provided with seeds\, soil and pots to start your very own vegetable patch. There will be a mix of leaves\, beans\, squashes\, roots\, herbs and flowers on offer. Successive sowing will be discussed\, as well as which plants are good to grow together. Advice and teaching will be on hand throughout the session. \nAt the end of the session\, you will take away the potential plants to nurture\, as well as a ‘What Next’ hand out with tips and recipes. \nThis workshop is free to attend\, thanks to the Smart Communities Food Resilience grant. \n  \nTuesday 10th May \n10am – 1pm \nIn the Red Brick Community Garden \n  \nFree to attand. DESCRIPTION:The Red Hot Jazz Club presents\nReturn of the Native\n  \nAn exciting evening of brand new original jazz that blends beautiful melodies\, lush chords and crazy rhythms. \nPlus a delicious dinner from The Old Tannery! \n  \nSomerset group\, Return of the Native\, is a creative collaboration between musicians Hywel Davies (piano)\, Will Rees-Jones (sax)\, Luke Belcher (bass)\, and Luke McCarthy (drums). \nThey originally formed just before the pandemic to celebrate the homecoming of Will\, their saxophone player\, after his first term studying at Guildhall School of Music. The group has since evolved into a celebration of the band members’ own original music. \nBetween them\, they have created some wonderful and exciting music\, blending beautiful harmonies\, unusual timings and lush melodies together to make their own form of modern jazz. \nHywel Davies and Luke Belcher are regular players on the South West jazz scene and beyond. DESCRIPTION:Art in the Garden\nDrop-in workshops\, arts and crafts in our Community Garden \n  \nWednesday 28th – Friday 30th August \n11am – 6pm daily \nWorkshops by donation \n  \nOur lovely Head Gardener\, Bon\, will be hosting a range of workshops for everyone in our beautiful community garden at the end of August. \n  \nTry your hand at mosaic making\, cob and bottle wall making\, crochet\, and using natural dyes. The local mobile library will also be about and available to use. \n  \nThe workshops are open to everyone\, including children\, with donations gratefully received. \n  \nDrinks will be available during the day\, but please bring a lunch with you. On the Friday night\, the garden’s cob oven will be fired up for cooking and eating some of the delicious produce grown in the garden.

We’ll also have hot and cold drinks available.
