SUMMARY:Free Training Workshop: Working With Volunteers
DESCRIPTION:Working With Volunteers\nFree Training Workshop for Somerset Residents Aged 19+\nRun by The Glastonbury Trust \n  \nWorking With Volunteers \nWednesday 11th May\, 9.30am – 2.45pm \nIncreasingly we are using volunteers to assist us in running our organisations quite often without assessing what might be the most appropriate way to do this. Volunteering is a two-way process. Learning to support and value your volunteers can be key to making sure we retain them and help make volunteering an enjoyable and rewarding activity. \nThis course is free to attend. Eligibility criteria applies (please visit SS&L for eligibility criteria). \nTo book: Visit the Somerset Skills & Learning website. Limited spaces available. \n  \nAbout these courses: \nOur work lives have become increasingly demanding\, presenting us with ever more complex challenges at a near-relentless pace. Add in personal or family needs and it’s easy to feel constantly overwhelmed. \nThese 8 free courses for Somerset residents aged 19+ will teach you the secrets to plan systematically and take control of your work\, organise yourself better\, improve communication skills\, and establish boundaries to help you find a balance in your life to reduce work-related stress and anxiety. \nDelivered by an experienced community trainer in a small and friendly group setting\, all the courses are suitable for those seeking employment\, establishing or running a business or community project\, the self-employed\, employed\, and creatives who are running busy households and looking to get back in to work. \nFollowing the completion of any of these courses\, learners will have built confidence to explore other learning or work opportunities. This may include the other courses on offer in this series to ensure a well-rounded set of skills. \n  \nRun by The Glastonbury Trust and funded by Somerset Skills & Learning
