DESCRIPTION:Friday Night Blues\nBrue River Band\n  \nA celebratory evening of rockin’ good Chicago blues \nPlus a delicious dinner from The Old Tannery! \n  \nThe Brue River crew came together as a response to the first lockdown. They were on a mission to blow their blues away – and everybody else’s! Their sound is far more joyful than woeful. They deliver driving\, dancey grooves in celebratory spirit and style. \nTheir set draws heavily on Chicago blues influences\, especially Howlin’ Wolf and  Muddy Waters. But they’ve made the material their own\, enhanced by sax and harmonica lines weaving through rock steady arrangements. There are some original compositions in there\, too. \nBased at Octopus Studios in Bruton\, The Brue River Band take their name from the river that runs alongside them. Sometimes they invite other acts they’ve met while rehearsing and recording there to support them on gigs.
